 Singer and television host Matilda Tao was named best entertainment TV show host at this year's Golden Bell Awards, which were held in Taipei on Saturday night.
Tao was honored for her extremely popular singing competition "One Million Star," which also garnered the coveted award of best entertainment show.
"The Hospital," a local version of Japanese TV series "White Tower," won three awards, including a best director award for Tsai Yueh-Hsun and best supporting actor for Chang Kuo-Chu.
The annual awards offer up the biggest honors to television personalities and programs in Taiwan.
Its 42nd edition this year attracted nearly 160 TV productions to compete for 34 awards.
