Maggie Q As Silver Fox In Wolverine

Looks like Hugh Jackman is going to have a spicy little Asian number on his hands come Wolverine in 2009!

The IESB always has our ear to ground in regards to casting scoops and today we got a good one for you!

First things first, Silver Fox, Wolverine’s love interest, is going to be in the new prequel. This is for sure. With the recent rewrites and the addition of Gavin Hood as director, there wasn’t any confirmation over what characters were going to be in the film. But we’ve been reassured that she’s is in the film.

On with the news, today we got a great tip on who is going to bring the Fox to life. One of the most kick-ass girls around, Maggie Q, is the top front runner for the role! We have been told that she is the top choice or may have already been cast to play the Silver Fox.

We have not been able to get confirmation from the studio or her reps over at CAA during this holiday week.

Wikipedia has the following: Silver Fox is a lover of Wolverine who first appeared in Wolverine vol.2 #10, where she is apparently killed by Sabretooth. However, her death is later revealed to be an induced memory of Wolverine's. In actuality, she is a member of "Team X," the best covert ops team the CIA had to offer, and is one of a few female victims of the Weapon X project. Fox betrays Team X and becomes a member of Hydra, a subversive terrorist organization. She is later, finally, killed by Sabretooth under the control of the telepathic Psi-Borg, and Wolverine buries her body outside the cabin they once lived in together.

Fish Leong's Early Valentine's Day

Last Thursday, Malaysian pop singer Jasmine Leong, known to fans as Fish Leong, released 128 balloons outside the Shanghai Grand Stadium.

Inside the balloons are 99 tickets for couples to attend Leong's "Today is Valentine's Day" concert on December 8.

"Although the concert won't be on the Valentine's Day this year, I want to tell my fans that everyday could be Valentine's, when you have the right person next to you," Leong explains.

Leong debuted in 1999 with the year's hit song "Courage," about courage in love and especially in forbidden relationships.

Immediately rising to stardom with the song, her girl-next-door appearance, together with her soft voice and warm attitude towards her fans, staff and media, also won her many admirers.

Since then, Leong has continued to sing love songs about the different stages of relationships, from first love in "Quiet Summer" to life after a breakup in "Happy Breakup." Many of these songs regularly top the most sung lists in karaokes.

"Fish's songs all tell stories of our everyday life. We all experience happiness, sadness, sweet moments and desperate feelings. I love singing her songs in karaoke. It's like singing about my own life," notes Monica Liu in grade 12 and a typical Fish fan.

Considered the Queen of Love Songs, Leong also features romance in her concerts.

Last year's Shanghai concert was on Valentine's Day and featured a merry-go-around on the stage.

The concert succeeded in creating a romantic ambience that matched her repertoire of love songs.

A fan even leapt on stage to propose to her.

"I will present an even more romantic stage this year," the songstress promises.

This time, the diva of sweet love songs plans to recreate five romantic sights on the stage, including the Eiffel Tower.

She also plans to fill the stage with bright colors to indicate the joy of relationships and the hope "that happiness can be shared."

In return, local fans suggested the project, titled "Red Ocean," employed red throughout the venue, because "that's the theme color of Fish's new album 'J'adore' and the color of passion."

Carrying on her reputation for love songs in "J'adore," Leong's ninth studio album, Leong has adopted a sexy and individualistic new look, especially compared to the naive imagery of her past albums. The songs also convey more mature relationship problems.

"I grew up and my fans grew up. We ponder upon different things now compared to nine years ago," notes Leong. "Many fans say that my songs give them courage, so all I can do is try even harder to make my songs encouragement for them."

The concert also includes an acoustic session in which Leong will sing three of her all-time favorite songs from other singers.

MBC: "If Super Junior Officially Apologizes, There Will Be A Fast Comeback"

MBC: "If Super Junior gives official apology, there will be a chance for fast comeback."

Lately the crash with SUPER JUNIOR having to appear on separate programs during the same time-slot has erupted into a heated dispute. MBC announced, "If Super Junior gives an official apology, we will organize an earlier comeback."

MBC halted Super Junior member KANG-IN's MC activities for the variety shows, "Sunday's Dongan Club", "Nothing is Impossible", and also "Show! Music Core", and officially announced that Kang-In and the rest of Super Junior cannot appear on any variety shows hosted by MBC anymore due to those shows being aired at the same time as SBS's "Good Sunday: Explorers of the Human Body."

MBC previously voiced their opinions on the issue, stating that "having to appear on other channels' shows at the same time are against morality." Therefore it will be difficult for Kang-In and the rest of Super Junior to give any future appearances on any of MBC's variety shows.

Because of this MBC stated, "For this issue I hope SM Entertainment will release an apology so Super Junior can give a fast comeback on MBC."

The CP of "Sunday's Dongan Club", Goh Jae-hyun spoke to Newsen about the issue and was asked, "If Super Junior announces that they will give up SBS's performances, will you accept it?" He replied, "They will do this? They already chose SBS." Newsen asked again, "If SM Entertainment officially apologized for this issue, will you accept it?" The CP replied, "If this happens, Super Junior will have an earlier comeback."

SM Entertainment replied to the issue simply, "We are still under negotiations."

Xing Guang Bang "Steals" Ella's fame; Does Magic Tricks

Taiwan's idols are still coming to Hong Kong to "steal fame". (T/N: I think that its more like they're still attracting a lot of fans despite they are so far away.)
Last night, S.H.E member Ella in the role of a senior, along with Xing Guang Bang Yoga Lin, Judy Zhou, Peter Pan, and Xu Ren Jie came to host "Snow White Lighting Ceremony", attracting thousands of fans. Most of them were XGB's fans, thus stealing a lot of limelight from Ella, but their cheers were enough to deafen the entire centre(mall).

Ella and XGB were asked about their feelings towards Christmas. Yoga Lin mistakenly said, "Today is my favourite day, Christmas can be described using the word(s) 'chicken', because the 'jie' (from Xing Dan Jie) and 'ji' sound the same.", scaring Ella beside him. The crowd later asked them to do magic tricks. When a little girl gave XGB a copy of Ella's biography(T/N: 寫真集), the first page was white, the rest were easy to catch on fire. XGB joked "Senior (Ella)'s figure is very sexy! (if translated directly: fire-ly spicy)". At the end, they used a scarf(napkin) to do magic, only Yoga Lin failed, despite after a few times of trying.

Yoga Lin fails; admits he's slow
When XGB recieved the itnerview expressing that it was their first time in Hong Kong to promote, only Judy Zhou wasn't part of the first-timers. But everybody were still very happy, especially when they saw the number of fans waiting for them and giving them presents. XGB said, "This time we're staying for 3 days, priority being work. Don't want to go anywhere else!"
Will you be scared of being compared to other Taiwanese groups?
"No, it's ok. Coming to Hong Kong, having a chance to sing for everybody, seeing other groups' success, can bring Taiwan glory/fame."
Wehn talking about Yoga's failure at the magic tricks, he admittd that he was nervous and slow. Ella, who was beside him said that he is working on it, only bad luck came at the wrong time.

Ella wants to find boyfriend to spend Christmas with
Ella expressed that she has never spent Christmas in Hong Kong, but knows that it has a lot of lights as decorations. S.H.e have spend a white christmas at Las Vegas during their concert time. Opposite of Hong Kong is Taiwan; the atmosphere is incomparable to HK.Maybe its because the temperature isn't cold enough, when asked if she wanted to find a boyfriend to spend Christmas with, she smiled and said, "Of course!"
