Members of the popular 90s female pop group, Fin.K.L., have gone from singing to acting. Three of the four members, Lee Hyolee (Hyori), Sung Yuri, and Lee Jin, have all had roles in various dramas in the past few years. Ok Ju Hyun on the other hand never pursued an acting career, however she has finally decided to give it a try, on the 23rd to be specific.
The first member to get into acting was Sung Yuri (26), who had her first mini-role in a 2002 special drama. Soon after in 2003, she got a role that, jump started her whole acting career, in a SBS drama "Thousand Years Love (Chun Nyun Ji Ae)." After that, she went on starring with the lead role in many different dramas, such as "Prince's First Love", "One Fine Day", and "The Snow Queen." Following right behind Sung was the leader of Fin.K.L., Lee Hyolee (28). She made her first debut in acting in a SBS drama "Three Leaf Clover," which got not-so-good reviews mainly attacking her acting skills. Despite the harsh comments, she gave her dream of being an actress another try, and shot her music video drama, "If In Love... Like Them." Despite her choice of becoming an actress, Lee Hyolee is the one member of the group that still carries her name as a singer, rather than an actress. Lee Jin (27) had her first role in 2002 on the popular MBC sitcom, "Non-Stop 3," and has recently returned to the acting scene by gaining a role in historical SBS drama "The King and I." Starring in a sitcom and upgrading to historical dramas isn't exactly a walk in the park, but she has been able to adapt to the sudden change.
And last but not least, Ok Ju Hyun (27) has been casted in an upcoming drama "Love Company." This TV drama is on a cable channel in Korea, ONC TV. The storyline is basically about lovers in an office/business environment. Ok Ju Hyun's character shows one side of her personality, where she's a drunken girl that goes all out, and another side, where she's a sexy worker that seduces her 3 co-workers. This drama is to air on the 23rd of this month.
